Community Photography: A Lens on Participation and Connection
My approach to community photography is deeply embedded in participation, storytelling, and connection. It’s not just about capturing images—it’s about creating moments where people see themselves reflected in the larger narrative of their community.
I work instinctively, responding to the energy of a space and the people within it. My images aren’t staged or sterile—they breathe with the textures of real life, the small details that make a moment resonate. Whether capturing a researcher’s quiet focus, the hands-on curiosity of participants, or the communal spirit of a shared discovery, my lens is always drawn to the human story.
When practice in communities I invite active contributors, shaping imagery together. My photography makes that visible, turning engagement into something you can see, feel, and step into.
